Annapurna – Day 6

Bamboo to Deurali

Climbing day today with the last stop before ABC (Annapurna base Camp). Again it was a bit of a damp start , we are used to putting on damp clothing now to dry it out! A 900m vertical rise day so we had to take it a bit easy today as we had been going relatively fast until this point. And given the amount of energy required to just walk up here it was pretty easy to take it slow. A couple of big up hills and a long down had us up above the tree line and into the misty cloud again. Crossed some precarious bridges over some swollen alpine streams with all the recent rain- that was fun (well for some) and came across some very high country shepherds and their herds (as well a  live birth -its autumn here?!!?). No great views again today so everyone is hoping that our arrival at the top tomorrow brings the blue sky’s as well! Going to be a cold night, and as its solar here (no sun for a few days) the torches will be coming out!
