Last day in Delhi

On our final day in Delhi the driver wanted to get a photo with us so we stopped at a Kodak store to get a portrait taken (a rather funny experience!). We then went to pick up Mark’s tailor made suit, luckily it fitted perfectly so we didn’t have to back for a final fitting. From there we headed to the Ghandi museum, and the place of his assassination, after stopping several time for directions from local police we made it, though unfortunately after closing time. We were able to wander round the gardens which were interesting and quietly moving.

From there we headed to Khan market, a shopping complex popular with expats (so with expat prices!).

That night we were treated to another home cooked feast – amazing home made samosas to start, followed by byriani and the sweetest dessert to top up our completely full stomachs. After an amazing stay in Delhi, made all the more special by our local hosts, it was off to bed for an early departure in the morning.
